Seems the color pages weren’t resized. All are >2000px in height.

Do you guys really think the average user will benefit from getting a 19MB copy of the covers? I’m not saying you shouldn’t have bothered to add the them, but at least reduce their file sizes. This is just ridiculous.

It was an oversight.
I love the high resolutions, but you can get file sizes down a bit without affecting them. Try to pass a loseless optimizer to the images. I brought down the cover from 16M to 14M just by passing it through jpegoptim, if you use pngs there’s also optipng and several others.
Mozilla just recently came out with one
